This year’s Thanksgiving celebration was really special, since I shared it with the Black Eyed Peas at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. This was a treat I will never forget, thanks to one of my dear friends, Ronnie, sharing awesome Front Row tix with me as a surprise gift.
When we arrived at the Sun Life Stadium, I was amazed at the number people. There were thousands of people waiting to get into the show. I am glad that Ronnie knew his way around the stadium, so we walked right in, with no hassle.
The Seven Hour Concert did not let the loyal fans down, in fact, it over delivered with all of the wonderful acts, especially Queen Latifah, Cee-Lo Green, T-Pain and Sean Kingston really put the crowd in a dancing mood.
Icing on the Cake for me was Cee-Lo Green and Queen Latifah. Cee-Lo Green is an amazing performer. I do hope that he gets his weight under control, because it would be a travesty to lose someone so talented. I always enjoy seeing him on tv, but never imagined how electrifying he could be on stage.
Queen Latifah is one of my all time favorite performers. Seeing Queen Latifah on stage is a gift that I will always treasure. I would have loved to see her on stage more, since she electrified the audience when she came on stage. She really knows how to work a crowd. It is great to see veteran performers maintain a positive image and still remain relevant in the industry.
The Black Eyed Peas performed all of my favorite hits. Fergie did not disappoint. She is my favorite part of the group. Her solo about Big Girls Don’t Cry, put tears in my eyes, – it was so beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised that the other two band members: Apl.de.ap and Taboo are talented musicians. Typically I think of only Fergie and Will.I.Am, as the two stars of the group. However, ALL of them shined. Each member gave a performance that showcased their artistic talents. They were a unifying force the entire time on stage.
At the end, we all realized that it was past midnight, so this brought us into Thanksgiving morning. I will forever treasure the Thanksgiving that I spent rocking with the Black Eyed Peas. Thanks again to everyone who made this wonderful show possible. You all did a fabulous job.
