There are some fashion trends that should be lauded and followed and there are others that need to go away and stay away for good. It is nice to know that I am not the only one that thinks this is true. One of my favorite fashion writers, Charles Manning, Cosmopolitan Fashion Editor, wrote an excellent post on this very subject. The post was called: 9 Fashion Trends That Need to Die in 2016.
One trend that is on my top fashion trend list to be discontinued is the “beaded red carpet naked dress. ” Enough already with the nudity. Why is it hot and trendy to be nude on the red carpet? The stars have great bodies, we all know this and appreciate seeing them in great looking expensive clothing, draped in jewels and beautiful shoes. Why is it so important to see their naked bodies or half naked bodies too?
I am impressed with the extremely talented Charles Manning and how he captures the essence of a few things that also annoy me although they seem to be very trendy in the fashion world.
Take a look at the following list and see if you agree or disagree. Enjoy reading, I am sure that it will provide you food for thought on today’s trending fashion.
- Mass-Culture Luxury Homages
- Ugly Shoes
- Celebrity Fashion Collections
- Excessive Nudity on the Runway
- Stripping Models Down to Their Underwear to Sell Clothes (and Female Empowerment)
- Red Carpet Naked Dresses
I could not agree you more Charles on these fashion trends that must go… but probably will not die due to our culture.
