Art Basel Miami 2013 is here… and this year the event organizers have a lot of fun filled events and exhibits. If you love art, film, gardens, live exhibits and true innovation, you must attend Art Basel Miami. There is not one thing that is a must see, but rather it is an experience that you can’t afford to miss. Just being there and soaking in the creativity of the talented artists and exhibits is breathtaking. You feel the energy and the spirit of “anything is possible by just literally being in the presence of sheer genius.
One thing that is so special about Art Basel is that they have something for everyone.
Here are a few things that you should definitely check out at Art Basel Miami 2013
- The FAILE BÄST Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2013 Miami Beach Presented by Perrier
The artists have created a series of GIFs to illuminate the artsy games and give us a taste of the fair’s stimulus overload to come. The arcade installation will take over a vacant storefront on the corner of 16th Street and Washington Avenue
- Vanessa Beecroft Retrospective Performance
Beecroft’s piece will feature replicas from her past performances, and one new work, featuring a Greek Tragedy.
- “Cheeses of France” Pop-Up
A pop-up exhibition dedicated to everyone’s favorite dairy product. Antoni Miralda will be constructing a wooden map of France. A major highlight of this exhibit will be the free cheese tasting. December 7 from 11 am to 7 pm and December 8th from 11 am to 4 pm at Midtown Miami, Wynwood Art District.
- A new documentary by Sabine Lidl. Nan Goldin—I Remember Your Face premieres on December 6 at 8:30p.m as part of Art Basel in Miami Beach’s film sector. There will be a Q&A after the film.
