2012 Summer Olympics – Amazing Opening Ceremony

2012 Summer Olympics

must say that I totally enjoyed the opening Olympic ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London last night.  The planning committee did an outstanding job.

Everything was spectacular.  One of my favorite parts was the snippet with James Bond and The Queen.  Daniel Craig and the Queen’s stunt double were both brilliant. I was impressed with the how similar the double looked to Queen Elizabeth. Daniel Craig never fails to deliver an outstanding performance in everything he does. I love this man…

The dance routine with the music taking you across the decades, was amazing. What really took me by surprise was how multi-cultural the ensemble group looked.  I was happy to see so many faces from different groups make up the cast and have fun with the song and dance.  Hats off to the producer and casting agent for selecting such a wonderful group. The costume designer and the choreographers also deserve a round of applause for the moving performance. I really enjoyed watching and singing the tunes.

I am looking forward to watching the Summer Olympics over the next few weeks and look forward to sharing my thoughts on the games.

Will Lolo Jones and Michael Phelps make a splash in the headlines with gold medals?

Will Kobe, Lebron and the 2012 USA Basketball team earn their marks as the new “Dream Team” and deliver stellar performances on the court?

Will Usain Bolt defend his record on the field as the fastest man?  Will one of his countrymen steal his thunder this year?

These are just a few of the performances that people will tune in to watch.

Looking forward to watching and sharing my thoughts.

Thanks to media outlets really embracing technology, we will be able to watch the 2012 Summer Olympics in real time.

NBC purchased the rights to the games for a large sum of money.  One report estimated the sum to be over a billion dollars.  I have to find out the exact sum and let you know.

Live Video Streaming in the USA will be available on Android Phones and iOS devices thanks to Adobe and NBC. Unfortunately, you have to be a cable subscriber – Thanks NBC for this new level of difficulty.

Live Streaming in the UK will be available via the BBC.

Stay tuned for more exciting news on the London Olympics.
